Luxe Ecuadorian brand, Ecua-Andino, exclusive to Peter’s Of Kensington, has been creating perfect Panama Hats since 1983. Each one is handmade by some of 3500 artisans involved in the 1 month to 6 month process, which includes selecting the toquilla palm fronds, cooking, weaving, bleaching, ironing and tagging. The final touch is the hatband adorned with the distinctive toucan motif. You can spot it adorning the hats worn by some Ecua-Andino’s Royal devotees including Princess Beatrice and Prince Albert Of Monaco and members of the Thai Royal family.
